Two Weeks
Two weeks from today I go back to work after a wonderful summer of travel, swim lessons and having lots of fun in general. (Oh, and I learned to love coffee!) I appreciate summers more now than I did last year. It's such a nice time to get caught up on appointments, projects around the house (which we still haven't moved in to) and sleep really late..like 7:30 a.m.!

But still, I'm excited. I love the beginning of a new school year. It's such an amazing opportunity every August to start over. No matter how good or bad the previous year turned out, you get a chance to change it all three months later. It's the same thing I love about each new day. Even if the girls and I had a BAD day before, we can all wake up with new attitudes and decide to have a day filled with joy instead of angst, love instead of torturing your older sister....ahh I hear the screams of frustration coming from the other side of the apartment. Only 23 hours until the next new day starts. Thank the Lord.

Whoa - you learned to love coffee?!! That's gotta be chalking up some major love language points with T ;) I was thinking of you this morning when I was walking around Ben's school and wondering what your feelings are about starting another year. Glad to hear you're looking forward to it! There's really nothing like that everything's-fresh-anything's-possible feeling! Time to go stock up on school supplies...

First, your comment on my latest weigh-in made me laugh out loud, literally. I just loved it.

Second, I know exactly that feeling you are talking about at the beginning of a school year. Sometimes when the air outside gets just "so," it feels like fall and it just doesn't feel quite right not to walk into a classroom every day. Those are the times I get all nostalgic. You enjoy it, girl.

Amen, Sister! I absolutely LOVE the start of a new school year. OldMan had a pretty hard year last year with a teacher that decided she didn't want to teach anymore but wouldn't quit. Thankfully he's really excited to find out who his 2nd grade teacher will be. 2 1/2 weeks for us....

I am gonna adopt that thinking, "only 23 hours left until the next day begins"! Yes, I love fresh starts. Thank the Lord that He does to and gives them to us!

What? You learned to love coffee? Isn't it the best! Mine is basically dessert by the time I add all the extras. I love your excitement for the new year. I am trying my best to get excited too. I just wish I knew where I would be starting my first year of homeschooling.

Hang in there with the house. At least you are getting close.

The beginning of a brand new school year, whether you're the teacher or the student, is always exciting.

I really like that whole only 23 hours till a new day attitude. I'm going to start looking at that way when a day gets off on the wrong foot.

This summer flew by so quickly. I love that you're looking forward to a new year.

But why aren't you all in the house yet? Ugh! And for the record I had to read the line about how you've "learned to love coffee!" a couple times just to make sure I heard correctly!

Wanna meet at Starbucks? ;-)
