My Husband Is Pretty Cool
With all of the problems that have been happening with Blogger lately, I've been a little frustrated. Not being able to write a post without losing it because Blogger won't save. Not being able to spellcheck. And, not being able to comment have been huge bummers for me. So, while we were sitting and watching the Mavs game last night, (they won!) I was typing out a post into my GMail so I could just save it there and then copy and paste it when Blogger wasn't having constipation issues, Terry comments about how nice it would be if I could just email my post to Blogger. Gmail autosaves every few minutes so I don't have to and I have spell check. It did sound like a great idea, but, um Terry, I can't do that, so whatever. I went to bed.

As I was getting ready this morning, I can hear him messin' on my computer. I get a "Hey Robin" filled with a little bit of giddiness, "Get in here." Nevermind the fact that I was blow drying my hair and I have a very short window with the short hair in which to get it done right. I go anyway because I love my man. He has figured out a way for me to type a post into my Gmail (which I am doing now) and when I send it, it automatically posts to my blog. Personally, I think he is a genius.

The only thing I don't know about is link love. So, I'm linking to BooMama here to see. Time to post!

There is also a plugin for Microsoft Word if you use that where you can type your entry into Word and then press a button and it post it for you.

Look at you! Linking and everything! Now, if you and Terry would put your collective heads together and figure out how I can get this three year of mine to give me some peace for about two minutes, I'd be much obliged. :-) Oh, I fear he inherited his mama's chatty gene.

I email most of my posts. It's wonderful isn't it?

Emailing posts is the way to go. I just discovered it the other day. If I'm at work when I get an idea for a post, I can just email it right to my blog. There is an option to post automatically or to save as a draft, which is also good. Before, I was emailing my posts from my office email to my home email and posting later.

Boomama, in 10 years or so, you may find yourself begging the boy to talk to you. Maybe you could get him a little cassette recorder, just in case? :-)

Mine's a tech hero too. I swore that I was having a browser issue last week. Went to internet explorer and discovered a disgusting, so disgusting it made ME blush which is not easy to do, pornographic spam "stuck" in the browser bar. I spent t.w.o. w.h.o.l.e. d.a.y.s. trying to get rid of it and couldn't do it. Took Rob less than five minutes and I'm back in business. Aren't they great when they support your addiction?

I thought blogger had a spell check and saves drafts and posts?? I am able to do all of those things without emailing my posts. I just use blogger.

blogger does have those things, but when blogger is down on and off for several days in a row, it's nice to have a second option.
